Home humanoid release tracker: what you can order, and when it ships

Updated

Our verdict

As of October 29, 2026, you can order two humanoids in the US today: Unitree's R1 (from $4,900) and G1 (from $13,500). Neither does chores. The only chore-focused humanoid with a price is 1X NEO ($20,000 or $499 a month, $200 refundable deposit), and we found no public record of a customer delivery yet. Figure 03, Tesla Optimus and Sunday Memo have no price you can pay.

Last checked: October 29, 2026. We update this tracker monthly and again on January 3, 2027, before CES. The answer today: two humanoids are orderable in the US (Unitree R1 and G1), one chore robot takes deposits (1X NEO), and three are announcements with no price (Figure 03, Tesla Optimus, Sunday Memo).

We have not tested these robots. Everything here comes from spec sheets, FCC filings, company statements and owner reports. Company claims are labeled.

Has the 1X NEO actually shipped?

Not that anyone can show. The order page still reads "US Deliveries start 2026" on October 29, 2026, with the $499-a-month plan on "Standard Delivery" and the $20,000 purchase on "Priority Delivery." 1X's factory update says the Hayward, California plant is ramping toward 10,000 units a year and that "current NEOs coming off the line are being prioritized for our internal team." It also tells buyers: "Some of you will get your NEO this year, some will get them later."

We found no named customer with a NEO at home and no 1X announcement of customer shipments. If you place a deposit now, expect a 2027 delivery unless 1X posts a dated shipping update.

Spec sheet, all company claims from 1X: 5 ft 6 in, 66 lb, lifts 154 lb, carries 55 lb, 4-hour runtime, 22 dB. Our full breakdown is on the 1X NEO page.

How much does a home humanoid cost in 2026?

Real, payable prices start at $4,900 for the Unitree R1 Air and run to $20,000 for a NEO you own outright. Unitree's prices exclude tax, shipping and import duties; the R1 page lists shipping of $300 to $1,200. For subscription math, NEO's $499 a month adds up to $5,988 a year. Run your own numbers in the buy vs subscribe calculator.

Figure, Tesla and Sunday have not published prices. Any number you see for them is a guess or a spoken remark. Figure CEO Brett Adcock's "$500 or $600 a month" lease idea, reported by Forbes Middle East, is not an offer you can sign.

When will Tesla Optimus be available for homes?

Tesla has not given a home date. Its Q3 2026 update says Optimus production began on Fremont's high-volume lines and lists the line as "Early Ramp." On the call, Musk said the AI, design and reliability issues should be solved "around the end of next year," which is when Tesla expects to deliver Optimus "to companies outside of Tesla." He said early use will be heavy industry and round-the-clock work, and "as we scale production, of course, it would be something that people can buy for their home." He also said the AI5 chip should go into Optimus in "approximately April of next year." All of these are targets.

When can you get a Figure 03?

Figure has not opened orders. Its Figure 03 announcement from October 9, 2025 describes home features such as washable soft goods and 2 kW wireless charging through the feet, and a BotQ line "initially capable of producing up to 12,000 humanoid robots per year." Those are company claims. Figure lists no price, deposit or delivery date for homes.

What is Sunday Memo, and can you buy one?

You can't buy one. Memo is a wheeled robot with two arms from Sunday Robotics. Sunday's beta page says the Founding Family beta is free, invite-only and "launching late 2026," and that "we anticipate starting to ship Memo at scale 2027-2028." Its home page lists the chores it is training on: clearing tables and loading the dishwasher, pulling an espresso shot and handling piles of socks. Sunday says it is "still actively improving the reliability and generalization of these skills."

Can Unitree humanoids still be sold in the US?

Yes, for models authorized before the July 2026 FCC rule. The R1's grant (2A5PE-YUSHU010) is dated June 22, 2026. Check any model in our US availability check, and read the FCC robot rule explained for what the rule covers. Unitree ships from its own store, and the buyer handles import duties.

What should you watch before CES 2027?

  • A 1X post announcing customer shipments, or a change to "US Deliveries start 2026" on the order page.
  • Any Figure order page, deposit or price.
  • Tesla's Optimus demo of tasks "that are not preprogrammed," which Musk said could come in "a month or 2."
  • Sunday's first beta homes and any price.
  • New humanoids at CES, January 6 to 9, 2027, and whether each one has FCC authorization to sell in the US.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy a humanoid robot for my home right now?

Yes, but not one that does housework on its own. Unitree sells the R1 from $4,900 and the G1 from $13,500 on shop.unitree.com (seen Oct 29, 2026). 1X NEO takes a $200 refundable deposit, with US deliveries promised for 2026.

Has the 1X NEO shipped to customers?

We found no public report of a NEO delivered to a paying customer's home as of October 29, 2026. 1X's factory page says current units go to its internal team first, and its order page still says US deliveries start in 2026. That date is a company claim.

How much will Tesla Optimus cost?

Tesla has not announced a price. On the Q3 2026 call, Elon Musk said Tesla expects to deliver Optimus to companies outside Tesla around the end of 2027, starting with industrial work, and that home sales come later as production scales.

When can I get a Figure 03?

There is no order page, deposit or price. Figure's CEO has floated leasing it for about $500 to $600 a month, which Forbes reported as a remark, not an offer.

Is Sunday Memo a humanoid?

Not in the legged sense. Memo rolls on a wheeled base with two arms. We track it here because it competes for the same chores. Sunday says it opens an invite-only beta in late 2026 and expects to ship at scale in 2027-2028.

Do home humanoids use remote human operators?

Some do. 1X lists a Scheduled Expert Mode where a 1X expert remotely supervises NEO for tasks it doesn't know. Sunday says Memo learns from glove data, not teleoperation in your home. Unitree's R1 and G1 run preset motions and remote control.
