Aiper pool robots: which model to buy, and what goes wrong
Our verdict
Aiper is the value pick among cordless pool robots: the Scuba S1 starts at $529.99 and the Scuba V3 is $849.99 on aiper.store, seen Oct 29, 2026. Buy the X1 Pro Max if you want Aiper's only 36-month warranty. Skip Aiper if you need a robot you can drop in and forget, since owners and Reviewed.com report random stops and app drops on the X1 Pro Max.

Short answer: Aiper sells the most robot for the money among cordless pool brands. Start with the Scuba V3 at $849.99, and pay up for the X1 Pro Max at $1,699.99 only if you want Aiper's only 36-month warranty. All prices are from aiper.store, seen Oct 29, 2026.
Which Aiper pool robot should I buy?
Buy the Scuba V3 for a typical in-ground pool. It sits in the middle of the lineup, costs $250 less than its listed regular price, and carries a 24-month US warranty. The Scuba S1 (2026) at $529.99 is the budget pick for smaller pools. The X1 Pro Max is the warranty pick. The Scuba V3 Ultra is Aiper's flagship, but it is new and owner reports are thin, so we'd wait a season.
How much do Aiper pool robots cost?
Prices on Aiper's US store, seen Oct 29, 2026. Aiper runs frequent sales; the regular price is the one Aiper lists beside it.
| Model | Price | Aiper's listed regular price |
|---|---|---|
| Scuba V3 Ultra | $1,899.99 | $2,499.99 |
| Scuba X1 Pro Max | $1,699.99 | $1,799.99 |
| Experts Duo bundle | $1,179.99 | $1,499.98 |
| Scuba V3 | $849.99 | $1,099.99 |
| Scuba X1 | $799.99 | $1,499.99 |
| Scuba S3 | $649.99 | $799.99 |
| Scuba S1 (2026) | $529.99 | $699.99 |
| EcoSurfer S2 skimmer | $339.99 | $399.99 |
| HydroSync (store page) | $299.99 | $359.99 |
| PilotFlow X1 handheld vacuum | $229.99 | $279.99 |
Aiper runs two V3 Ultra listings on its store. The one above was $1,899.99; the second listing was $1,999.99 against a $2,299.99 regular price. Pick the cheaper one and confirm it's the same bundle.
What does the Aiper warranty cover?
Aiper's US warranty page sets the term by model: 36 months for the Scuba X1 Pro Max; 24 months for the X1, X1 Pro, V3, S1 (2025), S1 Pro and EcoSurfer S2; 12 months for the Pilot X1; 6 months for accessories. The page does not list the V3 Ultra, S3 or S1 (2026) by name, so ask Aiper to confirm the term before you buy one of those.
Three lines matter most:
- "Aiper's limited warranty is restricted to the country of receipt." A robot bought abroad is not covered here.
- "Unless otherwise stated, the Warranty Period begins on the date of delivery of the product to you."
- The policy excludes "Products that have been repaired through 3rd parties." and "Purchases from unauthorized or personal resellers."

What problems do Aiper owners report?
Most published complaints are about the Scuba X1 Pro Max, the model with the longest time on the market:
- Stops mid-cycle. Reviewed.com reported the robot would "randomly float to the surface and stop in the middle of a cleaning cycle" with 70% battery left and a clean basket (Reviewed.com).
- App and Bluetooth drops. Reviewed.com lost the connection below about 25% battery and said the add-on HydroComm Pro helped, at extra cost.
- Sits on the floor and won't clean. One owner on his second unit said it sank to the bottom after one cycle "and just stay there" (r/pools).
Aiper publishes its own fixes for X1 battery charging, X1 wall climbing, S1 getting stuck and S1 not cleaning. For general fixes, see our pool robot troubleshooting guide.
Is an Aiper robot good for a Florida pool?
It suits a screened Florida pool with fine sand, pollen and the odd bug. An open pool under live oaks is harder: a cordless robot's basket and battery set the limit on a heavy leaf day, and you'll be fishing it out to empty it. Add a skimmer such as the EcoSurfer S2 for oak tassels and storm debris on the surface. Florida sun is hard on plastics, so store the robot and charger out of direct sun between runs. Run the numbers on our robot vs pool service calculator if you're weighing it against a weekly service.
Can I buy Aiper robots in the US?
Yes. Aiper sells direct on its US store and its warranty is tied to the country of receipt, so buy a US unit.
US availability side note: models the FCC authorized before its July 2026 robot rule can still be sold here. Read the FCC robot rule explained or use the US availability check.
Is Aiper a good pool robot brand?
Our verdict: Aiper is a good value brand with a shorter warranty than Beatbot on most models. Buy the Scuba V3 if you want strong features at a mid-range price. Buy the X1 Pro Max only for its 36 months of coverage. Skip Aiper if you'd rather pay more for a longer owner track record; see Aiper vs Beatbot and how long pool robots last.
